volunteers STANDING IN SUPPORT
Redwood Glen is incredibly grateful for the people that come out to our work days each year.  As was mentioned in last month's newsletter, volunteers are truly the lifeblood of camping ministry.

Another vital component of Redwood Glen's ministry is our financial supporters. The camp depends on individuals like you so that we may continue to provide quality services and maintain our facilities at affordable prices for individuals and groups seeking a place to experience, study, and know both creation and Creator.

Take a moment to reflect on all your special memories of Redwood Glen and how its ministry has impacted you and your family, then consider a gift to help sustain our ministry.  Can you donate $25?  $100?  $1000?  When you make a contribution to Redwood Glen, you invest in eternity.  Your contribution makes a direct impact in the lives of thousands of individuals each year.

While we do not yet accept donations online, you can call the camp office at (650) 879-0320 to make a gift with a credit card, or mail your donation to us at 100 Wright Dr, Loma Mar, CA 94709.

Want to leave a legacy? Consider supporting Redwood Glen through estate planning. For more details about this opportunity, email us.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, donations to Redwood Glen may be tax deductible.  Check with your tax advisor regarding your specific situation.

work day
Many hands make light work!

HAPPY HELPING HANDS AT WORK DAY
Work Day turned out to be a tremendous success!  We would like to pass along a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out, worked so hard, and accomplished so much.  We had nearly 40 people who completed great and necessary tasks.

Raking is always a big thing on Work Day.  We had several people who raked the main center of camp, including the front of Retreat, the playground and game areas as well as the tent and RV sites making all of those areas look clean and fresh.  One group took on the development of our brand new David Sato Memorial Kiosk area located near the Archery Range.  They completely cleared and prepared this area for the next phase of putting the kiosk and benches together. Now all areas that a guest might notice will look as good as it can.

Gazebo workThe gazebo project was designed to remove the rotting roof in preparation for the next phase which is to put a new roof on.  Once the crew got into the project, they found so much rot that they removed everything except the floor and main timbers!

Another project was to repair and replace portions of the ball field fence.  This project was completely finished.Yeah Crew! One long overdue project was to paint two of the four sides of Heiman House. This crew actually completed three out of four sides.

Cross walk paintingThe cross walk, speed bumps and stop signs on the main road were painted and look professionally done and brand new!
The Chapel in the Woods project was completed and looks beautifulA small but stalwart group of people dug a long, tough trench around the two water tanks in Pioneer Village that will assist the direction of water run-off.  Charlie Northrop took lots of pictures, a few of which you will see in this newsletter, with more posted on our new Facebook page

The laughter, camaraderie, and "heart" that went into Work Day was nothing short of inspiring.  Thank you for loving Redwood Glen so much!

Blessings and thanks to all our Work Day volunteers:
