Redwood Glen that equips and
encourages pastors, associate staff, and church
leaders on the journey of spiritual
transformation.
In each edition we strive to provide practical
resources for your ministry, and to inform
you of upcoming events at Redwood Glen for
the training and renewal of you and your
congregation.

Let every
heart prepare Him room 
It may be 78 days until Christmas, but in
pastoral ministry, it is really only 54 days
until the beginning of Advent!
Are you ready? Ready, not just in terms of
sermon topics and Christmas programs, but are
you in ready in terms of the preparation of
your heart for this holy season?
As a leader, it is difficult to bring
people to a place you have not yet been, even
if it is "just another Christmas." Before
the rush of the season, we
encourage you to set aside time and prepare
room in your
heart for Jesus.
We invite you to join us for a special ONE
DAY RETREAT at Redwood Glen on Wednesday,
November 12th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
This event will provide pastors, church
staff, and church leaders the time and space
for personal reflection, balanced with
devotional teaching and meaningful sharing. Facilitating this event is Russ
Ikeda
of Emmaus Ministries of Silicon Valley along
with Metamorphosis staff Joan Friesen
and Larry Jay.
Cost: $45, if you register before
October
31st . Beginning November 1st,
registration increases to $60.

Pastors
Conference - February 16-18 
As the old rings in the new and winter leads
into spring, our spirits also flow with the
calendar and are enriched as we develop a
rhythm that nurtures our relationship with
God through the seasons.
Metamorphosis is developing a series of
events this year to assist you in carving out
the time and space you need to spiritually care
for yourself and be more
effective in ministry.
Plans are under
way for our third annual PASTORS
CONFERENCE scheduled for February
16-18th. Speaker and event information
will be forth coming.
We
encourage you now to SAVE THE DATE and
build into your life a
spiritual
rhythm this upcoming year that allows rest
and renewal to be integral parts of who you are becoming, as one
called by God to shine forth Christ's love.

2009
Pastors Sabbath Week - June 14-19 
Once again, Redwood Glen will be offering a
summer get-away opportunity for pastors with
our 2009 Pastors Sabbath Week. Before
you know
it, summer will be here. And with only ONE
WEEK this year, space will quickly fill up. The dates for 2009 are June
14-19th,
with reservations being accepted beginning
January 12, 2009.
While some pastors have chosen to come solo
for an extended personal retreat, others
have come with their spouse. Some have brought
their spouse but sent their kids to a Redwood
Glen camp. Others have brought the entire
family for a stress-free vacation.
No matter what your plans, build rest and
renewal into the rhythm of your year. We
encourage you this summer
to consider coming to
Redwood Glen, enjoying our hospitality, and
allowing the beauty of God's creation to
renew you.
